Shop Capitol Hill–
Celebrating Local, Woman-Owned and Minority-Owned Businesses
This project celebrates the diversity and entrepreneurial spirit of Capitol Hill’s local businesses while providing a platform for them to share their stories and connect with customers during the holiday season.
The Project:

Capitol Hill is one of Seattle's most culturally vibrant neighborhoods, known for its inclusivity and diverse business scene. In collaboration with Intentionalist, I had the opportunity to produce a video highlighting several woman-owned and minority-owned local businesses, including Visette Boutique, Armoire, Moo-Young, and Retail Therapy. With the holiday season approaching, we worked with these businesses to capture their excitement and unique offerings during this festive time of year.
As the lead video producer for this project, my responsibilities included:
1. Concept Development and Storytelling
Collaborating with Intentionalist and business owners to craft narratives around each business's holiday preparations, unique products, and community impact.

2. Filming and Editing
Directing and capturing engaging footage of the businesses in action, ensuring each story was told visually while showcasing the spirit of the neighborhood. Editing the footage to create a cohesive and dynamic video that reflects the energy and vibrancy of Capitol Hill, ensuring the final product resonated with both local and broader audiences.

3. Interviewing Business Owners
Conducting interviews with business owners and customers, highlighting personal connections and the positive influence these businesses have on the community.

4. Project Management
Coordinating the logistics of the project, including scheduling shoots, organizing locations, and ensuring smooth communication between all stakeholders.
