Visit Seattle Chinatown– Celebrating Diversity and Culture in the Heart of the City
The video takes viewers on a journey through Chinatown-International District, showcasing not only the delicious food and drinks at Hong Kong Bistro but also the broader cultural landscape of the area.
The Project:
In Summer 2018, I collaborated with Hong Kong Bistro, a renowned dim sum-focused Cantonese restaurant located on Maynard Ave, for the Visit Seattle Chinatown project. This video highlights the cultural richness and diversity of Seattle's Chinatown-International District, focusing on the vibrant food scene and artistic expressions that make the neighborhood unique.
As the lead for both video and photography, I was responsible for:
1. Concept Development and Storytelling
Collaborating with Hong Kong Bistro and local artists to create a narrative that highlighted the cultural significance of the district, blending food, art, and history.
2. Filming and Editing
Directing and filming engaging video content that captured the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant and the neighborhood. Editing the video and curating photos to deliver a seamless and engaging final product that honored the stories of the businesses and cultural institutions featured.
3. Photography
Taking high-quality photos to showcase both the food at Hong Kong Bistro.
